Basque Place Cities Story
I. With the Dawn of your time
If the ice ages receded and the initial human groups roamed the humid valleys on the Cantabrian Sea, the lands we now call Euskal Herria had been currently a refuge. • In Biscay, Gipuzkoa, and Álava, nearby lineages managed autonomy amidst the mountains and valleys.
The Vikings attacked the coast; the Franks tried to control the Pyrenean passes; the Visigoths and afterwards the Muslims clashed on the Ebro frontier.
Although the Basque communities survived, adapting with no losing their identification.
IV. The Kingdom of Pamplona / Kingdom of Navarre
In the 9th century, the Kingdom of Pamplona was born, which might later come to be the Kingdom of Navarre.
For centuries, it had been a key player in peninsular and European politics.
